Toy Cars

Toy Cars puts you behind the wheel of 11 different toy vehicles, and the lineup goes well beyond the usual cars. You also get a chopper and a tank, plus several other machine types to try out.

There are three modes to pick from. Free Ride lets you roam a large city at your own pace, grabbing coins as you go and checking out the local landmarks. Highway mode puts you on a busy road where you collect coins while dodging traffic.

Arena mode flips the script and has you fighting enemies instead of racing them.

Controls cover both keyboard layouts. Use W and S or the up and down arrows for gas and brake. A and D or the left and right arrows handle steering.

Hold the left mouse button for your special ability. Space works as the handbrake, left Shift gives you a boost of nos, and I starts or stops the engine. L toggles the headlights, while Q, E and Z handle the indicators.

In the chopper, R and F control pitch. Tab pauses the game. A second scheme uses WASD to drive, Space to brake, I to switch the engine off or on, K for distant light, L for lights, and F for acceleration.

Everything runs in 3D, so the toy cars and the city around them have real depth and detail. Pick a vehicle, pick a mode, and decide whether you want a relaxed cruise, a tense run through traffic, or a straight up fight.
